Privately owned, our client is a true New Zealand success story. Having gone from strength to strength in the past 25 years, they provide a range of products and services to the building controls industry. They have worked hard to build their reputation, and are now known for both the quality of the technical advice they provide, as well as the solutions they can offer their clients. Working across a number of product and industry verticals, our client also has an established branch network with operations in Wellington and Christchurch.

An opportunity now exists, for all the right reasons, to join this business in a position of true responsibility. Reporting to the Director Sales and Marketing, we now seek an ambitious person to strategically and tactically manage the HVAC Business Unit. Managing a geographically dispersed team of four, you will be responsible for the continued growth of both the sales and gross margin results, whilst also remaining focussed on the professional development of the team. You will ensure the sales fundamentals are being met, whilst driving new trade marketing initiatives to grow the profile of both the exclusive agencies held, as well as the broader business. Working in conjunction with the Director Sales and Marketing, you will also assist in the management of the suppliers of the key agency lines the company holds, ensuring that there is effective communication ,strong relationships and that the local market is kept informed of new and updated products.

To be considered for this position, it is essential that you can demonstrate a sound technical understanding of HVAC related components, products, and solutions. You will possess an empathy with the client base, typically building services contractors, mechanical services contractors and OEM’s, and any established relationships within this market will be viewed as highly advantageous. You will have at least 3-5 years management experience, which may have been developed in either a sales management or branch management capacity.
