Christine Johnston appointed new General Manager, for the Institute of Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers (IRHACE) New Zealand.

The IRHACE centre, the administration body supporting excellence in the heating and cooling industry through the Climate Control Companies Association of New Zealand (CCCANZ), IRHACE and the Refrigerant Licensing Trust Board (RLTB), are pleased to announce the appointment of Christine Johnston effective Monday 21 August 2017 to the role of General Manager.

Christine is a deeply customer centered executive manager, who has proven her ability to build successful and engaged teams, across business and consumer segments.

She has been involved in operational, strategy and compliance roles in both national and international companies, including Strategic Planning & Marketing for the UFL Group,

Head of Retail and Operations for GrabOne and General Manager for Sunbeam New Zealand.

A strong interest in youth engagement, Christine currently serves as a mentor as part of the University of Auckland Business School Women’s mentoring program.

With the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industry facing its most significant change in history with the phase down of HFC synthetic refrigerants,

Christine’s commercial savvy, operational experience and strong focus on collaboration will be essential for the industry’s future success.
